For the safety of our guests, and for the bunnies who live in our home, we require all boarding bunnies to be up to date on their RHDV2 vaccine. This means either a two dose initial vaccine series or a yearly booster to be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination is required.
Our guests are housed in 4 x 4 exercise pens with fleece flooring. Each pen is provided with a large litter box that is filled with fresh hay multiple times a day. Fresh water in a bowl is provided at all times.
Our house is equipped with a heating and air conditioning system to provide year-round comfort.
We feed our guests the same orchard grass hay that we feed our personal bunnies.
We keep Oxbow Essentials Adult pellets and Supreme Petfoods Science Selective Adult pellets in stock. If your bunny eats a different pellet, please plan on bringing a supply of their preferred pellet to have during their stay.
Our guests get the same fresh greens that our bunnies eat: cilantro, parsley, carrot tops, romaine lettuce, and red leaf lettuce. If your bunny has special requirements for greens please let us know ahead of time.
The only pets in the house are our three bunnies.
We can provide a nail trim and light light brushing for a small additional fee if desired. Please see our Rates page for more information.
Yes, we can administer oral medications prescribed by your veterinarian for an additional fee. Please see our Rates page for more information.
For biosecurity reasons to prevent RHD we do not allow the public inside our home.
Please fill out our Bunny Boarding Registration form and we'll get back to you right away about availability.
If we detect a possible medical problem with your bunny that we don't feel is an emergency (excessive scratching, runny nose, loose stools, etc.) we will notify you as part of your next update or when you pick up your bunny. You can decide if this is an issue you want to discuss with your vet.
For urgent issues we consider emergencies (like not eating or defecating, wounds, potential fractures, or eye injuries), we'll contact you right away. If you approve, we'll seek emergency veterinary care within your specified budget. Please ensure your contact information is current in case of such an unlikely event.
Yes! We'll send daily updates and photos so that you can be confident that your bunny is doing well.
Your bunny will have access to an open space each day to explore. During this time, if your bunny wants company, we'll sit with them and offer some cuddle time.
Yes! Our proprietor is an experienced rabbit photographer, having photographed hundreds of bunnies over the years for rescues to use on their adoption pages. I've photographed bunnies at shelters, pet stores, backyards, and even a horse barn! If you are interested, I can take some additional photos using seasonal props for a small fee. Please see our Rates page for more information. You can see some examples of recent photos in my gallery.
