Having dedicated nearly 20 years to rabbit rescue in the Bay Area, I’ve served as a foster home, specializing in the care of bunnies with medical needs, and as an adoption event volunteer and photographer. My lifelong passion for veterinary medicine has also led me to volunteer as a veterinary assistant at wellness and vaccine clinics, and as a surgical assistant at spay/neuter clinics for both rabbits and cats. Currently, I volunteer with Contra Costa Rabbit Rescue, House Rabbit Society, and Napa Bunnies.
Our home is shared with three rescued bunnies. Lolli, our eldest at nine years old, was found as a stray and rescued from the Antioch shelter. Nico joined us as a medical foster bunny; after successfully treating a large facial abscess, he became a permanent member of our family. Eddie is another medical foster who never left, coming to us after requiring surgery for a bite wound.
Our Inspiration

Our inspiration is our first bunny DJ who we adopted from the Santa Cruz shelter. He was a little all black bunny, full of character and very smart. We learned so much about bunnies from him, and he introduced us to the world of rescue and rabbit veterinary medicine. His legacy lives on with the care we give your bunnies at DJ’s Den!
